The Opening Ceremony of Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing (PDAN) Programme 2015/2016 was held at KWNC Main Campus Lecture Theatre 2 in the morning of March 6. President Van Iat Kio, Education Department Executive Officer Leong Sok Man, Programme Leader and Assistant Professor Wong Choi Peng, Professor Zhu Mingxia, Associate Professor Hu Xiao Xia and Lecturer Cheong Wan were present in the ceremony.
President Van gave a welcome speech in the ceremony to encourage students to put more effort into their study so as to achieve further career development, higher service quality and make more contributions to the community. Assistant Professor Wong Choi Peng then gave a presentation on subject requirements, code of practice and relevant information of the Programme.
The need for nurses and demand for high quality service in society has been increasing; the PDAN Programme this year offers three specialty subjects including “Intensive Care Nursing”, “Child and Adolescent Nursing” and “Peri-operative Nursing”, in hope of offering in-service nurses with clinical experiences a platform for further studies and improvements so as to elevate the service quality of the nursing profession.
