A 13-member delegation of students from 6 universities for nationalities in China and Taiwan Tajen University led by Deputy Director of Student Employment Department of Northwest University for Nationalities and the Association for the Promotion of Chinese Ethnic Unity visited Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) on 29 April morning. The guests were warmly welcomed by KWNC's Vice-President Xing Zhihong, BSNS Programme Leader and Associate Professor U Wai Ang, BE-Centre Student Affairs Coordinator Lou Chi Kin and a dozen of College's students.
The delegation immediately learnt about KWNC's overview upon arrival, followed by a site visit to the College's laboratories and exchanges between students in terms of their study and life experiences. Mongolian and Uighur students commented that the cultural shock was the most memorable experience and they were glad to visit Macao for exchange. They also expressed appreciation to College's educational philosophy "From Personhood to Benevolence" and have changed their perception of nursing after watching the College's promotional video. A year 3 student of KWNC Huang Qingyang expressed that it was a precious opportunity to have exchanged with students from different ethnic groups and disciplines. And besides sharing her study experiences with the delegates, she recommended some tourist attractions and specialty food to them to show the hospitality of Macao as a tourist-friendly city.
The delegation included students from Minzu University of China, South-Central University for Nationalities, Dalian Nationalities University, Beifang University of Nationalities and Northwest University for Nationalities.
