KWNC and Social Welfare Bureau Co-organize Lecture on “Children’s Rights and Cybercrime” to Raise Public’s Legal Awareness

To strengthen staff and teachers' understanding of cybercrime and its preventive measures, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) and Social Welfare Bureau of the MSAR Government co-organized a lecture on "Children's Rights and Cybercrime" on 7 October, 2016, where Senior Technician of Department of Legal Promotion and Public Relations of Legal Affairs Bureau of the MSAR Government Mr. Lam Keong Chon was invited to host the lecture, which has attracted about 300 participants.

The lecture mainly introduced relevant legislations including "the Act of Combating Computer Crime", "Crimes of Public and Slander", "Crimes of Illicit Recordings and Photographs" and "Convention on the Rights of the Child". In addition, relevant preventive measures were introduced to the participants. Mr. Lam also advised staff and students of KWNC to wisely use the Internet as well as to strictly abide by relevant laws.
