KWNC President and School of Nursing, WUT President signing the Memorandum of Cooperation
Establishing exchange between teachers and students in two institutions to realize the educational resources sharing

Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) and the School of Nursing, Wuchang University of Technology (WUT) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This marked the sharing of nursing education resources in two institutions and promotion on exchanges between teachers and students in both places to improve the teaching quality and nursing talent cultivation.
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation was held at 9:30 a.m. on 21 December, 2017 at the conference room on the sixth floor of WUT library. It was signed by the School of Nursing, WUT President Yang Heping and KWNC President Van Iat Kio and witnessed by representatives including WUT Vice President Lu Huayan, heads of the School of Nursing and KWNC Executive Officer of the Education Department Associate Professor Tsang Sau Mui, Alice. Both institutions will establish academic and scientific cooperation, hold academic seminars and exchange programmes between teachers and students, and share education resources such as textbooks, courseware and equipment to help explore and promote the development on nursing education systems and modes in both places to enhance the standard of academic and scientific research and teaching quality in both institutions.
The Nursing Programme as one of the popular majors in WUT with highly qualified and experienced teachers, the teaching standard of young teachers is second to none among the similar institutions in the province. In the past 20 years since its establishment, it has nurtured thousands of high-quality nursing professionals who serve in Grade III Level A hospitals and various medical and health institutions in the province. During her visit to the library and nursing laboratory in WUT, KWNC President Van noted that WUT is an institution with advanced equipment and outstanding achievements in scientific research, the campus is full of a strong learning ambience and she believed that Macao students can gain substantial achievements during their study in Wuhan.
President Van Iat Kio was also invited to be the keynote speaker at the activity series on the exchange and cooperation between the two faculties and shared KWNC's experience of educating students at a lecture of "Influence of Educational Philosophy of 'From Personhood To Benevolence' on Professional Identity of Nursing Students –Illustrated by the Example of KWNC".
