KWNC Signs Cooperation Agreement with Health and Nursing Research College of Hangzhou Normal University

President Xu Hong of Health and Nursing Research College and Director Qian Ying of Education and Training Department of Hangzhou Normal University (HNU) visited Mong Ha Campus of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) in the morning of 16 May. Warmly welcomed by College representatives including President Van Iat Kio, Vice-President Xing Zhihong, Deputy Executive Officer of Research Management and Development Department Zhu Mingxia, Deputy Executive Officer of Extramural Studies Department Lei Wai In, and Deputy Executive Officer of President's Office Cheong Hoi Ieng, both institutions went on active discussions regarding issues of health and gerontological nursing, and signed a cooperation agreement to establish a cooperation platform for promotion and enhancement of gerontological nursing development.

President Xu Hong expressed her appreciation for KWNC's systematic educational programme "Benevolence Lights up My Later Life" which was designed to deal with an ageing society. On the other hand, HNU's management measure with close integration of production, academics and research towards research and development for gerontological nursing products was highly appreciated by KWNC President Van Iat Kio. Both parties showed interests in exploring collaboration opportunities in the field of gerontological nursing.

Founded in 1908, HNU is a comprehensive university in Hangzhou and one of the second batch of key universities in China. Despite only having been recently established, Health and Nursing Research College is supported by HNU's experienced teaching and research professionals from nursing and health management. Besides, it is also equipped with laboratories for gerontological health and nursing research, maternal and child health, and department of product research and development.
