Deputy Director Xue Xiaofeng has put forward three requirements for the College and addressed the importance of passing on affection for the country and Macao.

Chair Lau Veng Seng has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Liaison Office. Thanks to the continued support of the Liaison Office, the College has gained fruitful achievements in teachers' qualifications, teaching methodology, curriculum operation and exchanges between teachers and students in Mainland China. At present, the College has been cultivating nearly 70% of the in-service nurses in Macao. With the College 95th anniversary, KWNC will continue to strive for the cultivation of professional talents for Macao, and actively foster nursing and health science talents who will make contributions to the country and human health in line with the national development strategies under "Belt and Road Initiative" and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The first international exchange programme for nursing teachers and students which was held in Macao last summer has marked the success of the College, attracting nursing teachers and students from the United States, Thailand, Malaysia, Beijing, Nanchang, Guangzhou, Taiwan, Hong Kong as well as teachers and students of the College to participate in the seven-day exchange study programme.

Deputy Director Xue Xiaofeng has affirmed the College's contributions to Macao's development since its establishment. Having learned about students' employment direction and their views on national policies through a dialogue with students, he praised students for their caring spirits, concerns about national development, passion for the nursing industry, academic achievements and close relationship with peers and teachers. In addition, students have represented their affection for the country and Macao, as well as the teaching philosophy “From Personhood to Benevolence”.

At the meeting, Deputy Director Xue Xiaofeng has delivered three requirements to the College. First, to reiterate President Xi Jinping's important instructions for the work of Macao's higher education institutions, including cultivation of talents and their affections for the motherland and Macao, advancement of scientific and technological achievements as well as contributions to sustainable development for adequate economic diversification in Macao and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area construction. Second, to further enhance the education standard and teaching quality in line with the country's strengths, social needs and demands in Greater Bay Area when local needs have been satisfied. Third, to stipulate development strategies for the College from motherland and Greater Bay Area construction's perspective on Macao's development. In addition, Deputy Director Xue Xiaofeng expressed that the Liaison Office would spare no effort to support the development of the higher education institutions and teachers and students in Macao. He also stressed the importance to cultivate talented and virtuous graduates to govern Macao and develop Macao's economy.

KWNC President Van has highly appreciated the Liaison Office for its guidance and anticipation and pointed out that with the rare opportunities brought by the Greater Bay Area to the College, it would be beneficial to enhance the nursing education in both regions and the establishment of laboratories through the regional cooperation.
