According to the latest dementia research report of Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), a new case of dementia is diagnosed every 3 seconds in the world. The situation of dementia is becoming increasingly stringent and requires greater global and social attention. To this end, Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) and Alumni Association have jointly organized the "Memory Walk" with Macau Alzheimer's Disease Association (MADA) on 21st September in celebration of World Alzheimer's Day. This event has organized over 60 participants to walk from the College to the Ruins of Saint Paul's Cathedral, distributing information on dementia and publicizing knowledge on dementia during their walk, which drew public attention to dementia and widely spread the dementia friendly message. Participants from different age groups were recruited in this event, including high school students and older persons aged 80. Moreover, many tourists have been attracted by this unique publicity campaign.
