Executive Officer of Education Department of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau Tsang Sau Mui Alice was invited to attend the "Belt and Road Nursing Leadership Training Programme" by Health Human Resources Development Center of the National Health Commission of China and School of Nursing of Peking Union Medical College, and shared risk management measures in medical institutions as the representative of Macao.

The training programme took place at Wego Management Institute in Weihai, Shangdong Province on 19th October, 2018 to reinforce the regional collaboration in the field of nursing management and promote leadership and influence of nurses in the health policy. Associate Professor Tsang Sau Mui Alice who has extensive experience in clinical practice and teaching believed that the medical incident reporting mechanism and regular internal sharing sessions were effective risk management measures which could help restore the truth and heighten alertness to decrease the rate of medical errors.

Dr. Liu Huaping, Director of WHOCC for Nursing Policy Making and Leadership and Professor of Nursing School of Peking Union Medical College, Ms. Chutikarn Haruthai Deputy Director of Nursing Division of Ministry of Health of Thailand, as well as presidents and professors of nursing institutes from the Asia-Pacific countries and regions along the "Belt and Road Initiative" including Korea, the Philippines, Shandong Province and Hong Kong were invited to be the keynote speakers to share the development of their respective regional nursing systems, conduct in-depth discussions on ageing population, chronic diseases, drug resistance and risk incidents, as well as exchange information about the advancement of nursing education and nursing profession for the optimization and promotion of the industry.
