Wu Yan, Director of the Higher Education Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, P. R. China and accompanying officials visited Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macao on the morning of February 28, 2019. He was warmly welcomed and received by Vice President Xing Zhihong, Executive Officer of Education Department Tsang Sou Mui Alice, Deputy Executive Officer of President's Office Cheong Hoi Ieng. Director Wu expressed their continuous support to the nursing education of the College and joint promotion of sustainable development of higher education in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area (the Greater Bay Area).

During the meeting, Vice President Xing introduced the College's philosophy and characteristics, professional disciplines and curriculum, summed up the development and achievements of the College in teaching, research and social services in recent years, and Xing also said that it will continue to optimize the faculty team to cultivate more nursing and health professionals, and serve the community to fully cooperate with the development of nursing education in the Greater Bay Area. The two sides discussed the new concept of medical education, teaching modes of medical and nursing education, cooperation in running schools, and quality assurances.

The guests also included the Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education of P.R. China Jiang He, Head of Coordination Department of the Higher Education Bureau MSAR, Teng Sio Hong, and Head of Students of the Higher Education Bureau MSAR, Chen Iok Wai.
