KWNC and Kiang Wu Hospital Launch Macao’s 1st QELCA Programme

Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) and Kiang Wu Hospital had jointly hosted Macao’s first Quality End of Life Care for All (QELCA)© Programme. In the hope to promote pain relief and end of life care in Macao, and alleviate the suffering of patients and their families in facing the end of life process. The programme was run by QELCA© trainers accredited by world renowned City & Guilds of the United Kingdom. It provided a five-day training and a six-month Action Learning for learners. The first QELCA© in Macau had attracted eight health care professionals from various medical specialties, for instance, neurology and cardiology of both private and public hospitals, and community long-term care settings.
