Aiming to learn more about the development of nursing education in Macao and broaden the horizon, Bell Fung and Charlie Wong — Lecturers of the Division of Nursing and Health Studies, Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), led 40 students from Higher Diploma in Nursing Programme to visit Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) on May 22, exchanged ideas and paid a visit to the Mong Ha Campus.
Teachers and students from OUHK arrived at Mong Ha Campus at 2 p.m., they were greeted by our Asst. Prof. Wong Choi Peng and Chung Siu Fung. Asst. Prof. Wong introduced the overview of the College and the development of nursing education and medical system in Macao. Afterwards, OUHK students introduced the curriculum, facilities and learning life of them. Students from the two institutes exchanged their learning experiences and the original intension of choosing the nursing profession. The exchange activity was progressed under a warm and friendly atmosphere. Both parties gained a lot from each other.
After the activity ended, staffs from KWNC showed the guests from OUHK around the Nursing & Health Education Research Centre (NHC), laboratories and library etc. of the Mong Ha Campus.
