President’s Message
Serving as the most long-standing nursing school in the locality, the development and growth of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC) is a testament to the painstaking effort of both the old and new generations. With the assiduous dedication of leaders of Kiang Wu Charitable Association (KWCA), Board of Directors, Presidents, academic and non-academic staff of the College, KWNC grew from scratch into a well-equipped higher educational institution of nursing science in Macao. Our programmes have enhanced from single disciplinary to interdisciplinary and kept continuously improving. Ever since its founding in 1923, KWNC has been carrying forward KWCA’s tradition of excellence, promoting the educational philosophy of ‘From Personhood to Benevolence’, and educating and guiding students with the people-oriented educational ideology. Moreover, adhering to its core values of benevolence and caring, KWNC has been committed to developing teachers and students’ scientific thinking and guiding them in pursuance of innovation and advancement, as well as with devotion to serving and benefiting the local communities.
With the Macao SAR Government’s high regard and support for the nurture of nursing and health care talents, KWNC has fully relocated to the College building situated in the Islands District Medical Complex. The utilisation of the new campus symbolises a significant milestone for the College for forging ahead into an important local training base and professional certification venue for nursing and health care talents. Throughout the years, KWNC’s evident accomplishments have been acknowledged by society and the general public. All College members value what they have achieved and are bound to continue scaling new heights in nursing education and fostering more and more outstanding health sciences talents.
