Composition and Responsibilities of Programme Committee and Examination Committee
1. Programme Committee
(1) The Programme Committee is an organ responsible for the supervision of programme operation. Meeting is convened twice per academic year and chaired by the Programme Leader.
(2) Members of Programme Committee:

(3) Powers of Programme Committee:

To examine whether the subject teaching satisfies the teaching objectives;

|
◆ |
To supervise the implementation of syllabuses and teaching plans;
|
|
◆ |
To perform analyses of teachers and students’ suggestions for the programme and make necessary amendments or adjustments;
|
|
◆ |
To put forward arguments over the subject design, syllabus and teaching plan and make suggestions for revisions;
|
|
◆ |
To approve the amendments of Programme Definitive Document;
|
|
◆ |
To listen to the opinions from all subject teachers and clinical instructors towards teaching;
|
|
◆ |
To listen to the opinions from all students and teachers towards the programme and teaching;
|
|
◆ |
To coordinate the teaching content, teaching progress and mode of examination and assessment between various subjects to guarantee teaching quality;
|
|
◆ |
To make suggestions and form resolutions for the implementation of holistic education, enhancement of teaching quality and improvement of teaching outcomes.

2. Examination Committee
(1) The Examination Committee is responsible for the resolution of students’ promotion/repeat, grading of certificates and name list of graduates. Meeting is convened twice per year and chaired by the College President.

(3) Powers of Examination Committee::

To appraise the examination system and assessment criteria;
|

To approve assessment of students’ academic performance, resolve the name list of outstanding students and students eligible for the scholarship award;
|
|
◆ |
To examine students’ class attendance and learning situation to grade students’ conduct;
|
|
◆ |
To resolve on the counselling and management for individual students;
|
|
◆ |
To resolve on and manage student’s promotion, repeat, retake, repeat and suspension of studies, etc.;
|
|
◆ |
To appraise the preliminary name list of graduates, conferment of degrees and outstanding grade and submit them to the Academic Committee for approval;
|
|
◆ |
To submit the name list of graduates to the Accreditation Monitoring Group of Academic Committee.
