Learning arrangement of Bachelor of Science in Nursing

   Holistic Development

The teaching and learning strategy of the Bachelor of Science Nursing programme is in line with the College's teaching philosophy of "From Personhood to Benevolence " and "Strive for Competence and Integrity ". The programme has developed 11 programme intended learning outcomes within the framework of its objectives and 6 core competencies for nurses. It is expected that students will also possess the six nursing core competencies upon completion of the programme.

The teaching and learning activities of the programme are designed as a combination of official and non-official curriculum. The official curriculum refers to the structured Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme, which consists of 137 credits. The non-official curriculum consists of semi-structured and non-structured teaching and learning activities. The semi-structured component refers to the learning support, personal growth education and special counselling (psychological counselling and contract learning) provided by the College. The non-structural component includes students’ participation in various social services or activities within and outside the College. Therefore, students can develop professional roles, experience professional values, care for vulnerable groups, loving their country and Macau.
