1.  Introduction
The Language Laboratory, managed by the Language Promotion Group (LPG) of the College, is located on the 3rd floor (next to the Computer Laboratory) of the Main Campus. It provides general language facilities and software about language teaching and learning (English and Mandarin) to all College faculty, staff and students.

4.  Reservation of Using the Language Laboratory
We will only accept bookings through e-mail from the applicants one day in advance for short-term booking. The total time slots booked by each applicant should not exceed two hours per day or ten hours per week. Any long-term booking (lasts for one month or above, and up to one semester) should be made as least two weeks in advance. All bookings are processed on a first-come-first-served basis.

Booking requests should include the registered student name, class, date, duration and computer number. Those booking requests not containing the required information will be rejected.

Verbal bookings, either by phone or in person, will not normally be accepted, except in cases of extreme urgency.

If a computer is unoccupied for more than 10 minutes upon the booked time, other users can take that booked time slot if necessary by providing the required booking information.

In order to maximize the efficient utilization of the Language Laboratory, the following policies apply to the requests of long-term booking :

Booking requests will be normally processed before each semester.
‧  Any long-term booking or special arrangement of the Language Laboratory should only be made for classes or activities related to language teaching and learning conducted by faculty or student representatives (e.g. Students’ Union and Sub-clubs) as the priority.
‧  If an applicant does not use the Laboratory at the booked time slot for two consecutive times without prior notice, LPG may cancel the whole long-term booking.
 
5.  Bulletin Board
There is a bulletin board put outside the Language Laboratory through which we will inform our users of changes in our operational procedures, new developments, special arrangements and other matters to the interest of users.
 
6.  Help Desk
General consultation and assistance in the use of facilities and services of the Language Laboratory are available from the Help Desk. Details of the Help Desk operation are as follows:

7.  Suggestions
Users are welcome to make enquiries about our facilities, to give suggestions and comments about the services provided, to recommend new materials purchase (books, videos, etc.), or to report any software and hardware failure through communicating with the LPG officers via e-mail (jimmycheong@knwc.edu.mo).
