Brief Information:

To gain better understanding of current visual acuity of primary students in Macao and to develop relevant eye care prevention strategies, Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEJ) has commissioned Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau to undergo this study. Initiated in September 2005, questionnaire survey was done for 2,381 primary students, class teachers and parents and eye examination was done for these participating primary students. Data was collected and analyzed for this report for public's viewing. The study findings not only supplement the current visual acuity data of primary students in Macao, but also provide reliable evidences for local departments in establishing relevant policies.
