What is “Benevolence Scholarship Foundation (BSF)” ?
In order to put into practice the philosophy of benevolence and care, as encouraged and supported by the Board of Directors of Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC), a “Benevolence Scholarship Foundation (BSF)” was established in June 2006 in view of the shortage of nursing manpower in the background of Macao’s rapid development in gaming sector and the increasing number of young casino workers.
The activation fee of BSF came from the balance of previous donations made by various warm-hearted social figures over the years. Since activation, BSF has been operating with the donations from society and great support from individuals and organizations from different fields. The Foundation, serving as a specified appropriation of KWNC for fixed purposes to all students, is used in four aspects under unified administration. Through establishment of BSF, the College aims at raising concerns and encouraging support from social figures in common with teachers and students for Macao’s nursing education development.
