Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau (KWNC), founded in 1923, is a subsidiary institution of the Kiang Wu Charitable Association (KWCA). Evolving from the former Kiang Wu Senior Nursing School, the College is the longest-standing nursing education institute in Macao. KWNC successfully completed Institutional Accreditation conducted by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), Nursing Education Accreditation conducted by The Motherland's Education Quality Evaluation Agency of the Ministry of Education, and the College is the accredited course provider of Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI). The College is committed to provide multidisciplinary and higher-level programmes to effectively meet the evolving social needs and healthcare developments.

Form Personhood to Benevolence is the education philosophy of the College. Originated from Western nursing care and the Confucian concept of benevolence, based on loving others, especially caring for the underprivileged, the College integrates core principles from both Confucius thinking and nursing core concepts and implements these concepts in special locations such as Macao and Kiang Wu region (where Sun Yat-sen) worked. From curriculum design, academic research, student affairs, campus activities, to community engagement, these values serve as guiding principles for the College. They aim to educate both teachers and students, emphasising the importance of enhancing inner character while acquiring professional knowledge. The ultimate responsibility is to serve the community, contribute to the society, and promote development.

With the Macao Special Administrative Region Government's support, KWNC relocated to Islands District Medical Complex New Campus in August 2022. The library has been expanded, basic and various specialty nursing laboratories have added Simulated Infectious Disease Wards and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Centre. With the sponsorship of the Wynn Care Foundation, the first Life Journey Experience Pavilion was established to exhibit Comprehensive Health professional demonstrations.

Humanistic care and diversified education are the essence of the College, and KWNC nurtures talents who strive for 'Competence and Integrity, Serve with Professionality and Care'. To implement the compassionate care concept, the Benevolence Scholarship Foundation was founded. It encourages aspiring young individuals to pursue a career in nursing and actively contribute to the nursing profession through scholarships and awards.

KWNC had numerous opportunities throughout these 100 years. It also faced many challenges and hardships, yet the KWNC team with unwavering determination and resilience, forged ahead with the utmost enthusiasm and unwavering perseverance.

Benevolence Education Centre (BE-Centre) provides education with a non-official curriculum. The Centre offers four categories of activities including holistic development, learning support, special counselling, College, and community activities. These coordinate with the College's official curriculum and assist students to strive for 'Competence and Integrity, Serve with Professionality and Care'.

Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau has made significant contributions to nursing education and healthcare in Macao over the past 100 years.
